Embossing with Dies

Today I have an extra card for the CAS Mix Up September challenge. I got a bit carried away making my design team cards and ended up with an extra one.


I embossed a Concord & 9th hexagon cover plate for the background of this card and cut 2 thin frames with Waffle Flower A2 layers dies and A2 betweens as I wanted a thin frame. The bluebell die was cut in white and coloured in pastel shades with alcohol markers.


I didn't want to add a sentiment strip so I stamped the sentiment directly onto the card. Don't look too closely as it did feather a bit because the surface wasn't flat. I am quite pleased with the end result and am glad I have used that cover plate die again as it was very expensive!

    Oooh such a soft beauty. The textured background just uplift those blue bells keeping the eye focussed on these delicately coloured blooms. The fine frames give an elegant finish to this special card. So happy you got carried away and shared this with us. Thanks for this lovely card xx

    Lovely card! Zo nice this technic! I saw it first in a French magazine! And never tried it. Really a pity.. Maybe soon, I will give it a try.
