I have been getting carried away making monochromatic cards. I often struggle to choose colours and have realised that using different tones and shades of the same colour is really very effective, and very simple.
I hope you like these:
Card 1
This is also a one layer card with just the addition of 4 little flower gems to give it a boost.
This time I cut the panel with a scalloped frame and added some sequins. I just love all the different shades of green you see in spring.
This time I cut the heart with the matching die and popped it up on some blue craft foam and added background interest with the plaid die and some blue sequins.
I am also really pleased with my new supplies from Catherine Pooler and Concord & 9th.
I am sharing card one at:

Hilary, When something is working for you, don't stop! I love each one but let me just say that the blue one has stolen my heart! Can I also say that the placement of each stamp, leaf and or heart...etc, is just perfect! The lattice background was a super idea as well. Thanks for joining the team and I over at The Paper Players.

ReplyDeletelove the simplicity of monochromatic colours ♥
ReplyDeleteI think the simple cards are sometimes a lot more difficult to make than they look - like monochrome cards! I love what you've created here - they look simple, but I love the multiple tones in them. And I love how you've stepped up the design by adding the die cut background - I could take a tip or two from these!
