More Circle Fun

Today I have another circle themed card to share, I hope you like it.

This is a one layer card, I masked and inked directly on the card base using distress inks and then went over it with a light grey ink and a circle stencil. Once the mask was removed I stamped the circles and clear heat embossed them to give a bit of interest and shine. The sentiment was also heat embossed.

Simple but quite effective I think.

Thanks everyone for your kind message re my unfortunate accident last week. My bruised wrists are looking very colourful at the moment and are slowly improving. You will be noticing more posts from me because I am unable to do heavy things like gardening at the moment. More time in my craft room is a positive outcome anyway.

I am sharing this at:
Less is More #746 - use a stencil
Cards4guyz #307 - Autumnal colours. I think this card has a very masculine look

Supplies:
Cardstock: White stamping card
Ink: Distress ink
Stamps: Circles by Artemio; Penny Black from the garden (sentiment)
Stencil: AALL & Create #39

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today, I really appreciate it.

  1. Hi Hilary, sorry to hear that you are still on pain and hope that your wrists will improve more quickly! In the meantime, I'm sure that you will use your time enjoying your craft room! :) This CAS is delicious in its simply design, love the muted colours of the masked zone and the stencilled circles. Those stamped decorative circles are so beautiful, they seem mini-mandalas, so sweet!
Sending my best wishes for a speedy well being!

  6. Again with the interesting stamps and artistic card design! I like the shadowy effect of the light gray ink on yellow. Your embossed circle medallions have so much dimension I could have thought they were die cuts. I hope you're having fun and not hurting too much.

  17. Hi Hilary,
Because of my trip to my friend, I gave only a comment on the card, which is very beautiful.
I've read your whole story now. Hope your wrists are less colorful, but you have good reasons now to craft instead os heavy work ;-) Nevertheless, I hope it will be better soon!
(sometimes I'm very surprised of myself, how many words I know in your language, whahahaa)
