Today is 2nd of the month so time for the Card Chain Challenge big reveal. This month 25 card makers took part and I sent my card to Ellie in IL. USA.
From all the options this month I have chosen to use the colours, friendship and abstract.
When I saw the abstract option I immediately thought of this stencil set by Uniko. I really like it and haven't used it in a while so the first challenge was to find it, as it wasn't with my other Uniko stencils. Sometime later after going through all my stamps and stencils more than once, I decided to go through my Uniko stamp collection packet by packet. Finally I found it in the packet with the Bauhaus Blocks stamp set!
I have used my Catherine Pooler inks in slate, drive in and cranberry fizz. The little flower stamp is from a set by Concord & 9th and the sentiment stamps are also Uniko. I had a little bleeding under the bottom edge of one of the stencils so I masked it by using a little strip of peel off. I haven't used that for a long long time, but am pleased how it worked, a little bit of extra interest and you are none the wiser about the error.
I was very lucky to receive this gorgeous card from Pia in Norway. Pia is very organised, it arrived on the 6th November. Isn't it beautifully autumnal? Thanks Pia.
If you would like to take part in the next card chain challenge, you have until 6th to sign up here
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today, I really appreciate it.

Wow, what an amazing card!! Love all the geometric forms!!
Love your stenciling, Hilary - fabulous in the November color palette! The little gold edging add the perfect touch!!
Wow, is a beautiful Card, perfect. Hugs Michaela
The most beautiful card Hilary, thank you so much! I was thinking it was all stamps, didn't think of it being stencils. The stamped flower fits with the abstact stenciled design pieces so perfectly. I absolutely love how it turned out and these colors are simply amazing. Love the shiny thin strips you added too, would not have thought they were to cover up a mistake as they compliment the design so beautifully! Thank you again!!
That fun stencil was the perfect choice for these fun colors, Hilary! You expertly turned your 'oopsy' into a 'daisy!'

Beautiful card and love the fabulous abstract stencils-I thought they were stamps too, great recovery too. Love the beautiful Autumn card from Pia.

Oh that is so different and very appealing Hilary. Love it. Love what you received too.
Gorgeous cards to send and receive, love the abstract design x
Fabulous and funky abstract design Hilary - it’s got a real wow factor! Xx
Hilary, I'm absolutely smitten with your stenciled card! Smitten, I tell you! The colors, the abstract design, the sentiment placement, and the gold trim that looks planned from the beginning -- it all reaches right into the part of me that wishes I was better at this sort of design. I truly appreciate your skill in the way you've place the colors, too. Love the impact on the clean white card, matted in red and set on the scalloped base. Amazing! Gee, I recently had a similar issue trying to find an item in my craft room, and I'm sure it will happen again.
You did a fabulous job keeping your stencils aligned. Just love this abstract design and all the little extra touches you used. It has a lot of character and yet a softness from the scalloped edge of the card base. Totally lovely all around!
Wonderful card with the geometric figures! Lovely colors too.
The card you've received is as different as it can be, but beautifully too.
I love the abstract designs in your card, Hilary - good choice of products there! And I love your clever cover up too - wouldn't have thought twice about it if you hadn't mentioned it. Great card, Hilary!
Wow, what a fun card - I love how you placed the different elements, Hilary, it looks great. Thanks for being a link in our chain again at CCC, Jo x
Don't you just love organisation, and then you can't remember doing it lol! Glad you found this stencil, one of my favourites, and I love the colour combo you used.
Oh gosh, I feel your pain! I have often lost things forgetting where/how I put it away - by company, by topic, or just laying it on a surface! - what a beautiful card using this stencil and the colors Hilary! Great design with the sentiments and gold strips (you shouldn't have told us!) Julia xx
Love how crisp and fresh your card looks Hilary! I could use your sleuthing skills to help locate my (as yet unused) grumpy penguins stamp, any ideas?!
Great Design and great take with the colors !
