CAS Christmas

Just a quickie today. This card came about because I messed up the heat embossing on a sentiment that is hidden by the ribbon. You will see what it was meant to look like next week as it is one of my we love stamping DT cards. Anyway, I decided I could rescue this panel with a piece of ribbon from my stash. I was very pleased with the colour match. It is a dark green, not black.

The stamp is by Clarity Stamp, the set includes 20 of these little lino cut images.

I stamped this one onto a piece of green card and clear heat embossed it, before diecutting it and matting it onto a silver square. The sentiment was stamped under the ribbon and the panel attached to a white card. Simple. You can see another of the images on the insert.

It feels good to make a truly CAS card, as recently I feel like I have moved away from my CAS roots.

I am sharing this at:

Cardstock: Mondi colour copy 350, 250 and 160gsm

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today, I really appreciate it.

  20. I have a great fondness for lino-cut stamps and still have a few I haven't used yet. These are so pretty and delicate. It feels good to accomplish a CAS card when that is your preferred style. Try as I might I can only do one by accident, ha! Good fix with the ribbon, Hilary.
