Freshly Made Sketches Challenge 318

Today I had an idea for the Freshly made sketches challenge 318 and after a bit of humming and haring I came up with this card:

The panel is a My Favourite Things background stamp which I heat embossed with gold embossing powder on hot pressed watercolour paper. I painted it using brusho paints and zig clean colour real brush pens. I decided to frame it in gold as it picked out the embossing nicely.

I hope you like it. Here is a close up:

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog, I would love it if you also took the time to leave me a comment.
Thank you
Hilary

This takes my breath away, Hilary! It looks like a unique and expensive stained glass window! WOW!! I'm curious if you colored the image to compliment the ribbon, or did serendipity help you find the ribbon after you colored the image? This is a winner in my book and I'm going to go to MFT and find that stamp!! Happy New Year! Hugs, Darnell

Hi Darnell, thanks for visiting me. I am so glad you like the card, it has made my day. I had the stamped image lying around my desk for some time, I finally got round to colouring it the other day and then this challenge came along. I thought it was just the thing for it. I also just happened to have the ribbon in my stash. I knew I would find a good use for it one day! Funny how sometimes things just work like that. The stamp is floral fantasy which I also used for my very first blog post. Happy New Year to you too x
