Today I have made two cards to share at the Twofer Challenge #2, the theme is hearts. I had already made my valentines day card so I wanted to create cards for other occasions. I had this heart balloon stamp which I thought I could incorporate into a birthday card and a missing you card. Here they are:
My grandson is going to be 5 soon and he really loves Peter Rabbit so I thought Peter could be carrying the balloons along with his carrot. The card reads happy birthday Felix inside. Here is a closer look:
After colouring with alcohol markers the balloons were painted with a clear sparkle pen and then coated with glossy accents. They shine nicely when the light hits them right:
I hope he will like it.
My second card was inspired by Anita from the design team, I just love the simplicity of her white on craft card. I added a paper boarder to it as I couldn't quite cope with all the blank space:

I just love your colored and glossy heart balloon bunches, Hilary, and the two card occasions you have designed using the image! Felix is going to LOVE his Peter Rabbit card!! It is adorable and I love that it is personalized for him! And who doesn't find inspiration from the uber talented Anita?! Two fantastic cards for the Twofer challenge, Hilary! I am partial to the Peter Rabbit card myself as that was our nursery theme (many years ago). Your grandson will love Peter and his shiny balloons! I hear a movie is coming out soon. I agree with you about blank spaces - they make me nervous, lol! Hello, I love your Peter Rabbit, great coloring with a splash of background color. The splash of color on the othe card jazzes it up but the blank space really brings out the loneliness. I always forget the glossy accents so I am glad to see you have it.
