New Home

Hello,
Last week my cousin finally moved into her new home around 18 months after purchasing it. They had to strip it out and virtually rebuild it to get it how they wanted. Anyway, it meant it was time for me to make a new home card:

The inspiration came from this card that I found on Pinterest. I just happened to have the same house die which is from Xcut Dinky Die range. I added some colour behind the windows and heart with alcohol markers, stacked the die and filled the holes with glossy accents. I am very pleased with the finished card and am also pleased that I have finally managed to use kraft card with good effect. I need to make the most of that feeling as it doesn't happen often!

I am sharing this card at:

Hi Hilary,
I love this idea for a new home.
I think I will borrow this idea if you don't mind!
The combination of white and kraft is naturel, beautiful!
Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog!

You were well inspired and yet it has become a very special card that looks very nice. You had a great idea to use the hearts as smoke.

I love the addition of the glossy accents and colors. This really pops and isn't it wonderful when something comes together perfectly. Let the feeling live on! So glad you could join us at Die Cut Divas for our challenge this month.

Your kraft/white neighbourhood looks warm and inviting, especially the focal point house, with the warm glow of lights and heart in the windows! Perfect 'new home' card in every way! Thrilled to see you in the STAMPlorations CAS and HLS galleries!
