Happy Valentine's Day

My valentine card today is the one I made for my husband. I have used some new products that i ordered from Craft Clearance a few weeks ago. They had such a good deal on creative expressions cover plate dies that I couldn't resist. I think I bought 4 of them! My order also included the die cut sentiment you see on this card.

The circles cover die was cut from white card and mounted onto black and the sentiment was also cut from white card but I coloured it with an alcohol marker and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I think has about 3 layers on it. I did the same with the little hearts (which came with the sentiment die) and placed them in the circles.

The message inside reads 'on valentine's day'. He doesn't really go in for soppy stuff so I thought this would fit the bill.

I think we are finally going to lose the snow tomorrow and we both have appointments for our Covid jab so perhaps things are looking up.

I am sharing it at:
Cut it up #219 - All you need is love
Audsentiments #268 - Anything goes + a sentiment
NBUS #23 - This is the first use for both dies

Supplies:
cardstock: Smooth White 290gsm, black paper
Ink: Versamark
Dies: Creative Expressions solar circles & Just for you

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today, I really appreciate it.

Oh wow.., Hilary! This is such a lovely card. Not sweet, but just perfect for a (in this case your) husband. The colors are a great match. And the new die is so nice. I can imagine that you bought 4, they are very cheap, I saw.
The snow will be away next weekend here, I think. It was so beautiful..Monday I'll have to fetch my 2nd vaccination, yeah!

Sweet! I bet your hubby loved his Valentine's Day card Hilary! Classic colours with black, white and red. Beautiful die-cut sentiment and love those sweet hearts that fit in some of the die-cut circle background. Adorable design! Happy Valentine's Day to you! xx

That's great news about getting your first vaccines, Hilary! I am with you on hoping that things are looking up as far as the pandemic. As far as Valentine's go, I love this and I'm sure your hubster did, too! That's a great circle c/p and I love how you plumped up the sediment and the hearts! That one up top looks just like the red-hot hearts that came in a box when we were kids and little boxes of candy cost a dime, haha. I want to just pluck it off the card and eat it, but I'm sure that wouldn't be appreciated! Thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Take care and keep safe! Hugs, Darnell

Beautiful card, Hilary! Love the combination of red, black and white. The clear dimension on the reds looks particularly catchy and brilliant.
Hope your vaccination went smoothly. :)

Looks like you found a great sale, Hilary! Love the look of this card & bet your hubby did, too! Glad you're getting the vaccine. Ours got delayed a week due to the severe winter weather preventing the vaccine being shipped to our state.
