This is the second month in a row that the first Sunday of the month has coincided with the 2nd day of the month, which means this is my second post today. Scroll down for my we love stamping post.
Today is 2nd of the month so time for the Card Chain Challenge big reveal. This month 25 card makers took part and I sent my card to Marianne in Greece. Sadly, it is still on it's way. I hope it will look better in real life when it finally reaches Marianne.
From all the options this month I have used the colours, hearts and flowers, friendship and die cutting.
I used a press plate by Pinkfresh Studio called always smiling (I bought it recently along with the matching dies with a Christmas voucher), but I foiled it instead of pressing it. It was foiled onto a piece of Tim Holtz alcohol ink card, which I find brilliant for foiling. I didn't get the matching stencils, but coloured it with alcohol markers following the picture on the packaging. Using the alcohol markers on the glossy cardstock helped the ink blend - you have to be careful not to smudge it before it is dry though.
The little hearts cover plate die is by Sunny Studios and I coloured a panel underneath with the red marker used on the flower centres. The sentiment, from the same set, was also foiled in gold. Both the flowers and sentiment were stacked 3 times to add dimension, but not too much that it would cost more to post.
I was very lucky to receive this gorgeous card from Pia in Norway
I love the silver, black and white with the stamped background. Those colours would work well for the March challenge too.
If you would like to take part in the next card chain challenge, you have until 6th to sign up here
I am sharing this at:
NBUS#72 - the flower spray and matching die are NBUS
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today, I really appreciate it.

Thi is so pretty!! I love it and so fresh and clean looking. You really are a wiz with this foiling. something I have yet to get to grips with...so much to do. The sorting has ground to a halt too! Hope you are well xx
Your card is lovely with the hearts all over the background.
And the card you've received is very pretty too!
what a beautiful die cut background with the red hearts showing through Hilary! Your lovely floral spray in the colors look like spring has arrived on your design! Julia xx
I love how you've used the themes, Hilary! Your card is gorgeous and just perfect for the season too. Thanks for being a link in our chain again, Jo x
Such a pretty floral spray atop the heart background, Hilary!!
The foiled flowers are so very pretty, and look fabulous against the red and white hearts background. There is so much beautiful detail on this card xx
Well, Hilary, if your card looks better when it arrives then it's going to look amazing because that's how it looks to me in the picture. Interesting to use alcohol markers to color on glossy cardstock. I tried it once and it didn't work out like this! Pretty! Pia's card is quite striking.
Beautiful flowers and I love that die plate background ♥
Very pretty!
Great design as always and your card is amazing ♥
Two beautiful cards Hilary - the one you made is absolutely gorgeous, and the one you received is dramatic!
Blessings
Maxine
A beauitful Card, hugs Michaela
Just beautiful!!! I like the background design with the little hearts. It fits perfekt to the delicate flowers!!
Hilary, this trio of colors will always remind me of the quilt I made for my youngest's bed! You found a delightful way to put them to your card - please, you don't need that stencil as your coloring is fantastic!
Pia's card is really stunning, too!

Hi Hilary
You have made a gorgeous card here .. .. and of course I love that quilted heart background very, very much (surprise, surprise! LOL!!).
The card you received is beautiful too.
Love and hugs
Jules xoxo
Gorgeous card to send and receive, very different and that is the great thing about handmade cards x
So pretty and delicate. Your swap card is great inspiration too.
This is such a pretty card! You know, I appreciate every time you use those colors - so many times in ways I wouldn't have thought of. I like how you've used the red in the background, instead of putting all the colors only in the focal image. That's a great idea, and one I should remember! Lovely card, Hilary!
What a sweet card design, Hilary! It will be a keepsake for Marianne! (I just recently got my Christmas card from her!) I love the way you colored the little flowers and hearts! Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
Both cards are unique and beautiful! Love the red peeking through the hearts on the first card and the lovely flowers! And, second card is very interesting in the silver and black, well done!
Sure hope that gorgeous card gets to Marianne! And what a beauty you received! PS--thanks for letting me know about the Uniko win. I didn't get much commenting done and I had forgotten about the BD card entry, so may not have looked at that post.
A stunning card Hilary, and a beautiful design. x
