Butterflies

Hello,
I thought it was about time that I played along with the Twofer challenge, particularly as the prompt is butterflies and who hasn't got a number of options for this one?

I used a layering stamp by Hero Arts.

For my first card (a friendship card) I chose an off white coated card base and I heat embossed the layers finishing the top layer and the sentiment with gold EP.

You can see the embossing better on this picture:

I am also sharing this card at:
AAA Cards #170 Maxi white space. this is my second entry - I hope that's OK.

For my second card (a birthday card) I stamped the butterflies on some white card, then masked them and used stencils to create the background, I trimmed it down, mounted it on a coated card base and added 2 strips of red holographic card. The simple sentiment by Uniko was heat embossed in white.

I used some clear heat embossing on the final layer of the middle butterfly just to add some extra interest. You can see it in the next photo.

I am also sharing this card at:
Seize the birthday #195 - non-neutral card base

Don't forget to let me know what you think, I love to read your comments.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today, I really appreciate it.

xx

Hi Hilary,
so nice to see your cards for the twofer challenge (I can't find a translastion for twofer...) Your cards are both wonderful! The embossing with the clear is splendid!
And no!! I'm not wonder woman! If you look to the photos, you can see which one I made at home and which one I made on my holiday...Till now, I've made 7 cards...Last year I'd made 18! I think it's because of the wheather. We are very active now, because it's not so hot!
Thanks for visiting my blog so often! I really appreciate that!

Hilary, your butterflies in a row on the birthday card line up nicely and are sure to bring a smile. That extra step of adding the final layer with clear embossing adds a nice texture. Your hello card is fabulous in its CAS-ness. Thanks for playing along at Twofer Card Challenge#29.

Excellent colors and layering using this pretty butterfly stamp, Hilary! I love the uber CASliciousness of the hello card design and I'll bet the gold finish is really schparkly in real life! Your panel of butterflies is very striking in blue on your birthday design. Fun idea to just clear emboss the center butterfly for more interest and I love how you stenciled the butterfly background. Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #29! Keep well! Hugs, Darnell
