February CCC Reveal

The months go by quick don't they? But I am glad it is March as that means Spring is coming and as today is the 2nd it is time for the big reveal over at The card chain challenge. This month my card went to Elena in Arizona. Last month my card took a whole month to reach Jeanne in Minnesota so I am pleased that this month it arrived in reasonable time.

From the options available this month I have used the sketch (loosely), the colours, texture and friendship.

I was having a browse on Craft Clearance a few weeks ago and couldn't resist buying several coverplate dies by Creative Expressions. they were a real bargain and they fit A6 cards. This is one of them. I chose 3 of my alcohol markers that I thought matched the colours and coloured the cut out strips before then piecing them back into the panel. I stacked the die cut leaves 3 times and also the hello arrow and added them to the card. A few red sequins finished it off.

I used a piece of copy paper to create a stencil which I inked with some grey ink for the insert and the envelope.

This is the wonderful card I received from the lovely Mia in Greece. That baby is so cute with his/her little heart topknot.

But wait, I didn't only receive that amazing card but also all these goodies which include a set of fairy stamps, 2 dies and a sheet of stickers. Mia's generosity knows no bounds. I hope I will be able to do these gifts justice.

I bought 3 more of these coverplates so watch this space for more. I hope to use them soon.

Supplies:
Cardstock: White 290gsm smooth card
Ink: Spectrum Noir alcohol markers
Dies: Creative expressions,  pink Fresh Studio, The works

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today, I really appreciate it.

Love these bright and cheerful colors, Hilary! Such a pretty background for the die cut leaves to rest on. I love how you've left some of the leaf pieces in and others open!

What a stunning background in the challenge colors Hilary - your layered leaf stem in white looks wonderful over it - a beautiful cover die but lots of work to color it?! I might have cut it out of 3 colors and swapped out the strips?! xx

Your card is amazing Hillary. I love what you've done with the paper piecing and of course your colours are right on.

Spectacular card Hilary, the piecing looks so effective with that die! The white die cut accents look great over the top of it too.
