Monochromatic Colouring

The sun shone for a few hours today so I went out in the garden and did some pruning, it definitely makes me feel better, but it will be short lived and wind and rain are coming :(

I have two cards to share today, both are stamped and coloured with alcohol markers. You can find a shaker card that I made with this stamp and die set here. I love the way they look so different.

This one was made for my sister who had a knee replacement op recently.
I am sharing it at Stamping Sensations - monochromatic.

This second card was made in exactly the same way except that I clear heat embossed the stamping after colouring it. Unfortunately you can't see the shine that has given it on the photos. This card is still waiting to be sent to someone.
I am sharing this one at We love Chocolate Baroque - we love....
I love colouring (which I don't do often enough) and heat embossing.

I was pleased with these and can't choose between them, which is your favourite?

Supplies:
Cardstock: Mixed media paper and 300gsm photo mounting board
Ink: Versafine onyx black and toffee. Spectrum Noir alcohol markers
Stamps: Tonic Studios Happy Hibiscus
Dies: Waffle Flower A2 layering dies and A2 between layering dies

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today, I really appreciate it.

hi Hilary,
it's a great stamp! Wow, very beautifully coloured!
Every day I'll look if you have comment at CCC.... till now no one. It would be nice if I will be the one who may send you a card, or you to me...

What delightful floral creations Hilary and a difficult question, but I think maybe the greys just pip it for me.

Thanks for sharing a crafty 'love' with us at this months theme at We Love Chocolate Baroque challenge. And also taking part in our Monochromatic theme at Stamping Sensations challenge

I've never tried a monochrome coloration before but it looks stunning.

My favorite? Is there any need for you to ask??!! OH MY GORGEOUS GREYS! I'm seeing a winner, or two, here Hilary!
What a beautiful stamp! I imagine these took quite a lot of time to color - worth every second!

Goodness me Hilary, these are both stunning! The first reminds me of a beautiful fabric I saw a lot of in the seventies (showing my age now!) and the greys give a really modern fresh look. I love them both! Vicky x

They are both looking so beautiful - I can't choose either! I do remember the shaker card that you had made with this stamp - I was really impressed with it! The stamp is as versatile as you've made it, Hilary - that shows your innovativeness.

Both colour schemes you used with this beautiful stamp look fabulous Hilary. Great colouring and shading to add lots of dimension. It looks so totally different with your shaker version. Your sister will be happy to see the amazing card you made for her. Hope her recovery goes well. The gray version is gorgeous. xx
