October CCC Reveal

Today is 2nd of the month so time for the Card Chain Challenge big reveal. This month 32 card makers took part and I sent my card to Joanne in California

I have been struggling for inspiration recently so I just used the friendship theme from the different options this month. I had this flower spray which I had stamped, heat embossed, fussy cut and coloured, sitting on my desk, so I decided to try and turn it into a card. I also had the frame on my desk, it was a gift in a previous CCC card that I received. I am sorry I can't remember who gave it to me, but I am pleased to have used it.

I placed a piece of vellum behind the frame and stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment and the leaves, before attaching the elements to my card.

I am not terribly happy with this one, I think it is missing something, but as it had a long way to travel I just stopped fretting and sent it on it's way. It took it’s time and finally arrived with Joanne on 31st October.

I was very lucky to receive this gorgeous card from Jo in UK:

I love the texture on this one, thanks Jo.
If you would like to take part in the next card chain challenge, you have until 6th to sign up here

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today, I really appreciate it.

The vellum gives a lovely soft feel Hilary, thanks for the gentle reminder that today is reveal day, but not home so afraid it might be delayed.

A beautiful card Hilary! sometimes we are so critical of ourselves! Love that floral spray and the lovely white embossing on the vellum over the card base and framed so nicely with the scalloped edge! xx

It's a lovely card with the flower spray coloured and those leaves and white embossed sentiment Hilary, and the vellum in the frame adds softness! Perhaps you could have add one o two bling to finish, but I think that this card is so beautiful as it is. We are always our most critics!!
Lovely textured card from Jo too!

It does help to have premade stuff when your mojo isn't up. This card looks great. I love the pretty color of the card base, and the embossing on the vellum. The frame does add a elegant touch to it. Sweet looking card, Hilary.

Set all your misgivings aside and rest assured your card is a beautiful link in the chain, Hilary. You have the most interesting stamps and this flower spray is another one. It's pretty with a touch of whimsy. Nice flow and movement and not one you see every day. The vellum panel is lovely. This card looks like plenty to me. The card you received from Jo would be hard to stop touching with its sculptured finish. Very cool!

Lots of lovely elements put together to make this pretty card. I feel like I have similar things and need to try and do something like this too.
