CAS Christmas

Just a quickie today. This card came about because I messed up the heat embossing on a sentiment that is hidden by the ribbon. You will see what it was meant to look like next week as it is one of my we love stamping DT cards. Anyway, I decided I could rescue this panel with a piece of ribbon from my stash. I was very pleased with the colour match. It is a dark green, not black.

The stamp is by Clarity Stamp, the set includes 20 of these little lino cut images.

I stamped this one onto a piece of green card and clear heat embossed it, before diecutting it and matting it onto a silver square. The sentiment was stamped under the ribbon and the panel attached to a white card. Simple. You can see another of the images on the insert.

It feels good to make a truly CAS card, as recently I feel like I have moved away from my CAS roots.

I am sharing this at:
AAA Cards - #279 anything CAS goes (Christmas - Winter)
Allsorts Week 808 - Ribbon or Twine

Supplies:
Cardstock: Mondi colour copy 350, 250 and 160gsm
Ink: Catherine Pooler deck the halls
Stamps: Clarity Stamp; Uniko
Dies: Stitched rectangle, Create a Smile; Squares, Waffle Flower

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today, I really appreciate it.

Wouldn't ever have guessed that it is a 'fixed' card. It looks awesome. I do love the stamped piece, it looks like an enameled embellishment! Wonderful card, Hilary!

Sometimes when I mess up I cut down until I have a tiny square like this! Even though the main design piece wasn't cut down it makes a great save! A perfect CAS card, Hilary!

I have a great fondness for lino-cut stamps and still have a few I haven't used yet. These are so pretty and delicate. It feels good to accomplish a CAS card when that is your preferred style. Try as I might I can only do one by accident, ha! Good fix with the ribbon, Hilary.
