Birds

Hello,

Today I am entering Addicted to CAS with the code word birds with this card:

The background is a simple blend of Distress Oxide inks and the birds are cut from black paper with my Scan N Cut.

I used a stitched frame die to create the edges and stamped the sentiment (from Hero Arts), simple.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today, I really appreciate.

CAS Watercolour

Hello,
Today I have what I think is a truly CAS card to share with you. I have decided that I need to practice my watercolour skills this year as I have an ambition to get much better at it, so here is my second practice. It is very simple but you have to start somewhere!

Here is my card:

I started by stamping the flower with antique linen distress ink onto a card base of cold pressed watercolour paper. I then coloured it with my Zig clean Colour Real Brush pens. Once it was dry I masked the flower and lightly splattered red and green watercolour over the card front. Once that was dry, I put the card back in my Misti and stamped it with versa mark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

You can see the splatters and the embossing better in this close up:

Love

Hello,
Today I have a card to share that I made for my husband in December when we celebrated the anniversary of the day we met. I thought it was idea for challenges with a love theme this week.

Here is my card:

I die cut the lattice pattern and the word from white card stock, made a shadow from red card stock and tied the button (it is actually a ceramic button that I bought from a local art gallery) onto the lattice with some stranded cotton embroidery thread. I then mounted the panel onto the red card using foam tape to give some dimension. I also die cut a large YOU from white and red card and put it as the greeting inside.

I am entering this card in these challenges:

January Card Chain Challenge

Hello,
Today is the big reveal for the January card chain challenge. Here is my card:

I used the sketch option and the theme of New Year. Here is the sketch:

I have used a stencil called geo circles from Funky Fossil and posted it to Gail in Norway. The HAPPY was cut from black glossy card and the New Year was written with my Scan N Cut.

I was quite pleased with this card, I hope you like it too. Here is a close up:

Smile

Hello,
Two posts in one day, I am not sure what has happened, but I am on a roll!  I am sharing this card at
Casology Week 328 Smile and at Crafty Calendar January Challenge make it flowery.

Here is my card:

I have decided that in 2019 I want to improve my watercoloring skills and realise that the only way to do that is to practice. So here is my first practice of the year. the stamp is from Woodware and I painted it with my Zig real brush pens after stamping with gina k amalgam ink. I am pleased to say that there was absolutely no bleed.

To give the flower a little bit of bling I used a sparkly gel pen on the inside, see close up:

Once the flower was finished I masked it and splattered the background with black and red watercolour.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today, I really appreciate.
