Stencil Dimension

Hello,
Today have a card for the CAS Stencil April Challenge which asks for the use of embossing pastes/gels. I have a new stencil and glossy white Stencil Dimensions from Sweet Poppy which I have been wanting to use. Here is the card I made:

I really like cards made with craft card but I don't make them myself very often because I never think they come out very well. However, I decided to have a go this time after watching the technique videos shared as examples of the technique.  I am fairly happy with the end result, I think!

The dimension paste is white and glossy and I found that it happily takes watercolour on top when it is dry and it keeps its glossy finish. After I had done the stencilling I noticed that the edge is actually straight so I added the green glossy strip and die cut the sentiment from the same card.

The card has a lovely shine to it, that you can see in the picture above.

I am toying with the idea of adding a few clear drops, but I probably won't!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today, I really appreciate it.
Hilary

Gorgeous stenciled glossy leaves border and glossy sentiment, Hilary. I love how you added the glossy green border and used craft CS for your white space. TFS and joining us at CAS Stencil Card Challenge. Hugs..Nancy

Gorgeous stenciling, Hilary! I love how you colored the leaves with your Zig markers, and that you maintained a glossy finish, as well...what a bonus! Such a beautiful CAS design, too! Thanks so much for playing along with us at CAS Stencil!

Fabulous stenciling, Hilary. I love that you tried adding color on top of the paste and it worked! I'll have to remember that trick. Love the greens on the craft.

This is gorgeous!! After years of crafting, I actually just posted my first card that puts the stencil center stage (vs. a hint in the background). Not embossing paste - just blended ink. But I'm kind of thrilled with the concept, and now your card has pointed me to another technique for my unused collection of stencils (although I can't say I've embraced watercolors either!)

This is so creative, Hilary. I like that you used a kraft base and the way you coloured the embossing paste, I didn't know that technique. Thank you for sharing at CAS Stencil!

I would never have thought that the glossy white paste would have taken the water colouring Hilary, so thank you for the inspiration. Your card is so striking, love the kraft, the pretty stencil and those vibrant and wonderful colours. Stunning card x
