I embossed a Concord & 9th hexagon cover plate for the background of this card and cut 2 thin frames with Waffle Flower A2 layers dies and A2 betweens as I wanted a thin frame. The bluebell die was cut in white and coloured in pastel shades with alcohol markers.
I didn't want to add a sentiment strip so I stamped the sentiment directly onto the card. Don't look too closely as it did feather a bit because the surface wasn't flat. I am quite pleased with the end result and am glad I have used that cover plate die again as it was very expensive!

Oooh such a soft beauty. The textured background just uplift those blue bells keeping the eye focussed on these delicately coloured blooms. The fine frames give an elegant finish to this special card. So happy you got carried away and shared this with us. Thanks for this lovely card xx
Lovely card! Zo nice this technic! I saw it first in a French magazine! And never tried it. Really a pity.. Maybe soon, I will give it a try.
Apart from being so pretty, this is exquisitely elegant Hilary.

I'm not one bit surprised, Hilary! That technique is a bit addictive... and I LOVE the cover plate you've used to emboss your panel!
Well done, you!

Your cover plate die turned out beautifully for your background die embossed texture, Hilary. I loved your thin die cut frames and beautiful die cut and alcohol ink colored flowers too. A really gorgeous card, my friend. TFS Hugs...Nancy
