Today I have a card to share for Craftlandia Challenge 9 where the theme is deer. My deer is a die cut and he has the most amazing antlers.
I cut the die twice in white and once in black and glued them together with just a tiny bit of white showing either side. I love the effect it creates. The background is alcohol ink smooched together on yupo paper. These techniques were showcased by Jennifer McGuire in early December. They are so cool that I had to give them a try and the results are impressive. I think so anyway!
I finished it off with a few tiny gems in the centre of the flowers, which you can just see on the close up picture.
Here are a few more examples
Supplies:
cardstock: Black 240gsm; Yupo Paper
Ink: Ranger Alcohol inks and pearl inks
Stamps: Uniko greeting
Dies: Fuzzy Lemon, festive Rudolph Christmas frame
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today, I really appreciate it.

The background is breathtaking !! I also have to watch instruction videos so that I can work better with the alcohol inks. Your card is so beautiful and inspiring again.

What a brilliant display, Hilary! I love them all! This is the second blog post I've read today that featured smooching, so it must be making a comeback. I can't remember the last time I did it and I think it's past time I did it again! I love how it works with the Yupo paper and how your backgrounds really show against the silhouette designs! Happy New Year, my friend! Hugs, Darnell
Those AI backgrounds are stunning, Hilary! Love all the cards!
