September Card Chain Challenge Reveal

Today is 2nd of the month so time for the Card Chain Challenge big reveal. This month 23 card makers took part and I sent my card to Dagmara in Poland.

I have used the theme of friendship and the technique of inlaid die cutting. The background is a Pinkfresh press plate called ornate trellis that I foiled. It was one of the first things that I foiled after getting my foilpress back after it was fixed. It took a few goes for me to remember the ins and outs, so if you look closely you can see that it was a little over foiled in places, but not so bad that I had to discard it.

The little flower die is a favourite from The Stamp Market, the friend die is from the anemone glimmer blooms hotfoil stamp and die set by Spellbinders, and the hello was cut down from a hello sunshine die. I am afraid I don't have the make. I used alcohol pens to colour the white die cuts and edged the matt to match.

I was very lucky to receive this gorgeous card from Mia in Greece. Of course, you all know what Mia is like, I didn't just get a card, I got a whole parcel of goodies, many of them homemade too. Thanks Mia.

I rather naively thought my covid infection would only last a few days and then I would be right as rain. Ha, not so, but I am glad to report that I am now better. Unfortunately I gave it to my husband and he has had the misfortune to lose his sense of taste and smell. Thankfully, it is slowly coming back. Anyway, thanks for all your good wishes and remember if you are in a crowded public place don't be afraid to wear a mask.
If you would like to take part in the next card chain challenge, you have until 6th to sign up here

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today, I really appreciate it.

SO very pretty Hilary, one of those where you have to go back and check more of the details. Afraid not done my CCC share yet, shame on me for forgetting.

I absolutely LOVE the teal color on your beautiful card Hilary! What a beautiful foiled background pattern and a lovely floral stem! SO sorry you had Covid as well as you DH - a year and a half ago my DH gave it to me - he felt ill for 3 days - I was achy and tired for 11 days! Glad you are feeling better now! Julia xx

Hope your hubby recovers soon. Of course, I gave it to mine, too. We're back wearing masks inside buildings--maybe forever. Life has certainly changed. Anyway, I adore your CCC card with that beautiful foiling and sweet inlaid flower! Always a treat when Mia sends you something!

What a lovely card you've made! One of my favorite colors!
And the card and goodies from Mia are so wonderful. Years ago I'd received a case for my glasses! I do use it and that is so nice to think of her!

A lovely card, Hilary - love the colour and all the foiling :). Mia is so very generous...an amazing woman.
Yes, covid is a very sneaky bug.. and although it is coming into spring here, I am mask wearing, although I have to admit, I am in the minority here now.

Beautiful card Hilary, love the foiling, it’s not something I’ve ever invested in but the results are so impressive. Sorry you and your husband have both been unwell with Covid, hope you’re soon fully recovered xx

A beautiful foiled card, Hilary! Your blues are so pretty and perfectly coordinated. Lovely card and gift from Mia, too. I've learned you can't trust COVID to be predictable. It's sneaky, too. Just when you think it's safe... I hope all is well in your home soon.
