When I saw that the theme at Allsorts this week is CAS, I thought that I must take part, so knowing I didn't have time to make a new card I had a look in my folder of finished but un posted cards and found this:
My go to stamp for making age cards is this Concord & 9th turnabout stamp. I just love it and love how the number looks when cut from the centre of the circle. When it is a big number it is quite good to camouflage it a little, I think. I generally also use Catherine Pooler inks as the colours are so lovely and vibrant. You can see other examples made with this stamp here and here.
This time I decided to use the circle off the edge and used another turnabout for the splatters that I heat embossed in gold and silver. the sentiment was also heat embossed in white. I used the splatter turnabout and the negatives from the numbers to decorate the insert. I decided to use the dark brown for the panel base because the card was for a man and I thought it added drama. What do you think?
The numbers are mounted on craft foam just to add a little dimension.

Amazing male CAS, love the brown choice and the lovely vibrant colours of the turnabout! The 70th detail looks great!! Well done!
Hilary, what a fun bright and festive card. I love that you have used the camouflage method for the years. All in all a super card.
I don't have any turnabout stamps, Love the effect and the die cutting of the numbers. Awesome card ♥
It looks fantastic! I love the colors you've used for those fall foliage, and the number looks fantastic as well. Great card!
I expected no less Hilary given your my Queen of CAS! It's a delightful design and so striking on the brown card stock.

It's perfect for a man, Hilary. Nice autumn colors, a design that's got some interesting things going on, yet with an overall CAS look to it. I also like how you reversed the numbers on the piece behind it, which I'm guessing is the envelope. Beautifully done!
I love this off the edge circle with it's pretty colors that play so well with the contrast of the black! I agree that camouflaging the number is a great idea!
Love your color choices & having the circle off the edge--great BD card, Hilary!
What a great number card! I love how that stamping just pops!
What a fab card and I love how you "hid" the age - I must try to remember that trick.
thanks also for sharing at Allsorts challenge.
Great masculine card and had a little chuckle with the large number being 'hidden'. The stamping looks fabulous Hilary x.
Sorry to be late commenting but I was away visiting family, after nearly two years and it felt so good! x.
