Hello
When I saw this weeks Allsorts Challenge had the theme of circles, I thought I would quickly post this card that I made a few weeks ago and haven't yet shared.
I was busy shopping with my birthday money a few months ago and saw this Altenew floral halos stamp and die set in the sale. I thought it had loads of possibilities so I bought it. I purchased the Honey Bee Sandie's Garden 3d embossing folder at the same time and put them together to create this card.
I used pearlescent vellum in the embossing folder and was pleased that it embossed without cracking. Not wanting to cover up too much of it I used the circles and flower spray from the Altenew set. I coloured the flowers with watercolour felt pens and die cut the greeting. I have to say that those circle stamps are quite hard to use as they are just circles so they go out of shape very very easily. The only way to use them is to fit them into the matching die before stamping, which worked, but then it was still quite hard to line up the die accurately when it came to cutting them. For a moment I wondered why I had bought them!
Despite all that, I was quite pleased with the finished card. I added a few gems for a bit of sparkle.
I am sharing this at:

Hi Hilary! Glad you persevered!
Your card is quite lovely and the embossing folder is stunning!
Thank you for sharing with us at Allsorts this week!
I love your birthday purchases - the embossing folder is my favorite here. And I can totally understand your struggles with the circle stamp - I had the same problem with a flimsy sentiment stamp - but I realized only after heat embossing it that it wouldn't fit with the die, so had to redo the whole thing! But you are smarter, of course, and the results are great. Definitely a gorgeous card!
A perfect card for our Circles theme and a beautifully detailed embossing folder, many thanks for sharing at Allsorts challenge this week.

Beautiful card, the embossed vellum is gorgeous. I have some open circular stamps and like you say go out of shape, would be easier if they had a solid centre to keep them in shape. x
Such a pretty card Hilary - I am so glad you persisted with the stamp as it really is gorgeous.
Blessings

Such amazing EF and stamp you bought, and the pearlescent vellum adds also more interest. Well done with those circles, you have been so accurate cutting them with the stamped design inside! I couldn’t have done it. A wonderful card!
Hugs
I LOVE the embossed background with that pearlescent paper, Hilary! The circles are a perfect addition as they don't cover up that embossing. They enhance it!
Wonderful birthday money shopping, Hilary! This is really pretty! I love the texture and I can imagine how beautiful that vellum is in person. I can also imagine the struggle with stamping those circles, but you did a great job! Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Hugs, Darnell (And p.s. Thank you so much for the gorgeous succulent card! Brings back memories!

This card is so beautiful. The texture is amazing and the circle rings add to the interest but let the emboss folder take the show on the card.
