I noticed that the day of the month card club are celebrating national US postage stamp day so I thought it was an opportunity to share this card.
The lovely Cat very kindly sent me some die cuts using the Waffle Flower postage stamp die and I used one of them to make this birthday card for my granddaughters 9th birthday.
I started by using some narrow post it tape to mask the different elements, unfortunately I forgot the edges! I used a blending brush to ink the background and the Concord & 9th sweet bee stamps, stencils and dies to create the elements.
I decorated the envelope and insert and finished it off with a couple of little hearts. I was quite pleased, hope you like it too.
It is very hot here today so I am staying indoors. I don't handle the heat very well, but I don't have to worry as rain and cooler weather will be back tomorrow.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today, I really appreciate it.

Now I would never have thought about those edges either, and I didn't till you mentioned it. This is a very pretty card for your granddaughter, I| bet she loves it. Cloudy and very hot again here today...what happened to somewhere between the cold and the hot..lol (never satisfied are we)xx
What a very pretty card for your Granddaughter Hilary, has a lovely girly feel to it in the pretty summery colours.
As for the heat, I used to love it but these days it just gets me down and invariably makes migraines feel even worse, so yesterday was a crafting day with a nice air cooler which the girls appreciated as much as I did.

Hi Hilary,
I think it's allways the same weather here and at yours. I was inside the house the whole day! Now it is 18 degrees Celsius! At 3.00 a.m.
Your card is so nice and perfect for that day! Lovely for your granddaughter!
Lucky you, to receive these versatile die cuts - and skilled you, to have used them so well, it seems like these flowers and bees were meant to be used with the postage set! I love how seamlessly they go together to make this gorgeous card! Really well executed, Hilary!
Hilary this is absolutely gorgeous - love how you have kept to the bee and floral theme against the wonderful sky blue background.

Gorgeous card, so much lovely detail to look at and enjoy x
Such a beautiful card Hilary, I don't think it matters about the edge, the masked off edges highlight the centre. I'm sure your granddaughter will love all the details. x
Great use of the die and so colourful and pretty.
