A little Embossing

Today I thought  would pop in with a card for this months Let's Squash It challenge where we are being asked to keep it CAS.

I had a look through my folder of cards that I haven't posted yet and found this. I thought it was perfect:

This was very quick and easy to do. I embossed my panel and cut it to size before swiping ink randomly over it in 2 colours. I also inked the edges in the pink.

The little heart was stamped and heat embossed in green and painted with my zig clean colour real brush pens.

The sentiment was heat embossed and the strip cut to size and the edges inked. i was quite happy with this one. Hope you like it too.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Hunky dory adorable scorable coated card for the base; white stamping card
Ink: Catherine Pooler
Stamps: Tonic Studios Happy hibiscus and matching die
Embossing Folder: Sizzix 3D texture fades lumber by Tim Holtz

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today, I really appreciate it.

The Lumber folder looks so pretty with the pink and green ink swipes! One of my favorite folders, but I love just about anything wood grain. Sweet little heart. A beautifully CAS card, Hilary!

I like these kind of cards. Not so complicated with great effect!
Love the combination of colours.
Thanks for your comments. I appreciate it so much! At home the temperature is so much better. Maybe tomorrow hot, but after that it will be better...

Oohh... Such cute, classy and delicate feel! Love so much the idea of swiping in two colours on a wooden embossed background! Fabulous shabby effect! The heart with the flowers is a perfect match as well the stripe with the sentiment!
Have a lovely Sunday!

I took inspiration from your green stamped images lately, and I must say, I absolutely loved the effect (comes in my blog after a few days!)
And sorry for the delay in stopping by - the days have become busy lately. :(
