We Love Stamping July Reminder

Today is the 18th so time for a reminder for the current challenge over at We Love Stamping. The challenge where you can showcase your stamps and your skill at using them.

This month our theme is:

**Anything Stamped with the option of Fabulous Florals **

This is a new to me stamp by Woodware and I love it. I went away for a weekend to Sussex and came across a little craft store, it was fabulous, but unfortunately it was in the process of closing down. I always try to support small stores that I come across and this time I was lucky and got 20% off.  Unfortunately if I ever visit again, it won't be there. The stamp is called roses with love and is just one of a number of things purchased.

I stamped and heat embossed the image before painting it with my zig real brush watercolour pens.
It was so satisfying to do. I really enjoyed the process.

I have also recently purchased some hot foil sentiments and dies from the Spellbinders sale, so I used one for this card. Sorry you can't see the shine of the foil on the photos.

Of course I didn't just make one:
This one was heat embossed and coloured with my watercolour pens.

This one was stamped with a pale ink and coloured with my Polychromos coloured pencils

Which is your favourite?

Don't forget there is always a prize to be won and this month we have two prizes from AALL and Create Petal Therapy and Vase Trio. Why don't you head over to the challenge blog to check it out? The prize winner is selected randomly and in addition the DT will choose one entry to join us as a guest designer for a future challenge.

I hope I have inspired you to join us this month, all you have to do is follow the prompt and ensure stamping (digital is accepted) is the main focus on your card. The challenge will close at noon (UK time) on Wednesday 2nd August.

I am looking forward to seeing you in the gallery.

I am also sharing this at:
NBUS #52 - my third entry this month
Allsorts week 737 - i don't think my colours match the mood board, so I will use the anything goes option

Hello You

Today I am popping in to add a little card to this months Flower Challenge where the theme is clean and simple. I had a little look through my cards that haven't been posted yet and found this:

This little basket of flowers is a hotfoil stamp by Couture Creations which I foiled onto some glossy photo paper with GoPress iridescent shavings gold foil. If you look on the close up photo you can see the iridescence.

I really liked the CAS look of this so I kept it simple with the hello you sentiment. The shine from the foil and the paper made it hard to photograph.

Short and sweet from me today. I should have been visiting you all instead of writing this tonight. I am out of time now so will have another go tomorrow. Hope I don't get distracted again.

As this was the first outing for the foil stamp I am also adding it to NBUS #52

Gundi has told me I should also add this to the day of the month card club as they are celebrating National Simplicity Day. Thanks Gundi, now added.

Baby congrats

Today I have a little CAS card to share. It was inspired by this card shared by the wonderful Michele Ferguson recently. She used the hemstitched circle die in a similar way and when I discovered that I needed to make a new baby card, I thought the die would make the perfect frame for my little die cut pram.

I was pleased that I managed to get the placement right and also protect my coated card from getting marked by the die cutting machine. I covered the holes on the inside with a piece of pale blue coloured vellum. The pram was cut from pale blue faux glitter card from Hobbycraft.

I love how the light shines through.
A die cut sentiment with a shadow from the same vellum finished it off.
Thanks for the inspiration Michele.

I have been a bit busy and distracted recently, so I apologise if it has been a while since I paid a visit to your blog. I hope to get myself caught up soon.

I am sharing it at:
NBUS #52 - The pram die is NBUS

June Card Chain Challenge Reveal

Today is 2nd of the month so time for the Card Chain Challenge big reveal. This month 34 card makers took part and I sent my card to Jo in the UK. If you are looking for my We Love Stamping DT card, please scroll down.

I loosely used the colours of raspberry, rose and cream, and also the theme of friendship and the product, lace, although my lace is actually a die cut which was cut from an acrylic paint gel print.

The lace panel was attached to some cream card and the hello friend was cut from the same card. the shadow for the friend was cut from another gel print using the mauve from the lace. I used the remainder of that print to cut another lace panel for the insert.

As it is all quite busy I finished it off with just 3 enamel dots.

I was very lucky to receive this gorgeous card from Linda in Minnesota. Thanks Linda.

If you would like to take part in the next card chain challenge, you have until 6th to sign up here

Supplies:

We Love Stamping July Challenge

Today is the first Sunday of the month so time for a new challenge over at We Love Stamping. I have 2 posts today as it is also the Card Chain Challenge reveal day. I shall be back in a few hours to share my card for June.

This month our theme is:

**Anything Stamped with the option of Fabulous Florals**

This card was made with one of my backgrounds using re inkers on glossy paper.  I stamped, heat embossed and then coloured the image. Mounted the panel onto black paper and then onto a white cardbase. The sentiment is stamped onto another background piece made in the same way.

In retrospect, I wish I had put the sentiment panel further to the right over the flower stems.
