Baby congrats

Today I have a little CAS card to share. It was inspired by this card shared by the wonderful Michele Ferguson recently. She used the hemstitched circle die in a similar way and when I discovered that I needed to make a new baby card, I thought the die would make the perfect frame for my little die cut pram.

I was pleased that I managed to get the placement right and also protect my coated card from getting marked by the die cutting machine. I covered the holes on the inside with a piece of pale blue coloured vellum. The pram was cut from pale blue faux glitter card from Hobbycraft.

I love how the light shines through.
A die cut sentiment with a shadow from the same vellum finished it off.
Thanks for the inspiration Michele.

I have been a bit busy and distracted recently, so I apologise if it has been a while since I paid a visit to your blog. I hope to get myself caught up soon.

I am sharing it at:
NBUS #52 - The pram die is NBUS

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today, I really appreciate it.

Hi Hilary,
It's a lovely card. It's so nice to be inspired by other crafters.
In Duth we say: You don't have to re-invent the wheel ..
I hope you understand the meaning of the saying. Sometimes there are sayings in Dutch and English you cab translate literally....

Seamless combination of the vellum and glitter with the coated card base. The colors really go with each other so well. The pram looks cute sitting within that die cut circle. Cute card, Hilary!

You have given me too much credit, Hilary - it really was just a reminder that neither of us had used our hemstitched dies in a while! Turns out, it is the perfect little circle and will hold a multitude of treasures! Love that you had a wonderful reason to use your die again - what an adorable little pram!
You should share your trick for die-cutting without marring the card stock - I for one would love to know!

This is absolutely precious, Hilary! Adorably sweet and simple. I'm glad you were able to avoid marring that beautiful coated cardstock. Distracted is my game lately. It's harder to keep up now than it was when I was working.

What a sweet and CASlicious baby card, Hilary! I love the pretty blue hues and vellum and how you've added the adorable baby pram to the inside and envie! Thank you for inspiring everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell (p.s. No worries about visiting; that feeling of foggy distraction seems to be universal among us lately. I keep waiting to find my focus!)

Very pretty card. I love your use of the blue vellum - not as stark as white would have been. The pram fits perfectly. Thanks for joining us at Addicted to CAS.
