Today is the first Sunday of August so time for a new challenge over at we love Chocolate Baroque where the theme is
** Anything Autumn Goes**
Autumn colours are my sort of colours so I enjoyed making this one. I started by taking 2 distress oxide colours and swiping the pad directly onto my panel. Once I was happy I spritzed it lightly to add a little extra interest. Then I stamped the image in Catherine Pooler icing on the cake and clear heat embossed. I took 3 different coloured pens and coloured the flowers on the trees. In retrospect, I wish I had just used one colour, but never mind.
The sentiment is also stamped in icing on the cake and heat embossed. I like how it sits nicely under the trees. After I cut the panel to size I inked the edges slightly and also inked the edges of 2 pieces of white card to use as mats, one in icing on the cake and the other in twisted citron (the same as used on the background).
It was quite dark when I took the pictures so I used my light box, which didn't really do justice to the colours, but anyway, I was pleased with how this one turned out. I found a sheet of dark brown heavy weight card in my stash that matched perfectly so I used it for the base. I hope you like it too.
I do hope I have inspired you to take part in our challenge this month. don't forget there is a prize £15 store voucher and a goody bag to be one in addition to the chance to be a featured designer if you use a Chocolate Baroque stamp.
I am looking forward to seeing you in the gallery.

Fantasy Woodland is a lovely set, in fact I think I have a couple of similar sets, something a little different which as your pretty tall DL card shows can be adapted to the seasons.

Stunning card, love the colours. Anesha x
This is a beautiful card don't doubt yourself about the way you have coloured it the scheme works magically. I also love how visiting the sites of other crafters introduces us to "new" products and ideas. Never heard of Cathrine Pooler or Icing on the Cake before, will have to investigate now. x
The background design fits perfectly with the stamp motif.
Such beautiful stamp set, you shown the fantasy trees so well, I have just put them in my wishlist :) Love the background and the colours scheme, and also how the sentiment fits perfectly the space on the bottom.
Taking photos is always tricking also for me, I broken my fab Canon and now I simply use the smartphone, but sometime it's difficult have the right light and colours.
Grande lezione di creatività e di alta manualità seguita da gusto veramente fine complimenti da noi in Italia è difficile trovare queste manifestazioni di ingegno

What a cool stamp this is! It's so much just the sort of thing I love. I really like the way you did the background, too, and will have to try it. So simple and yet so effective. The truest words and good to remember these days.
Very creative card so full of crafty wonders love the whole concept and design. xxx
Loved seeing this on IG & taking another look now! It's so beautifully artistic!
Wonderful image, lovely sentiment and great colors make a perfect card! Love how the color stands out even over the distress oxide inks! I wonder how it is to color over distress oxide inks - need to try it sometime. I often don't color over distress inks, since most of my media are water based. Maybe I can do it with pencils next time! :D
I love these trees and you've used them beautifully. I like the two colours as it adds some perspective.
BTW I did know about James and his typewriter art - totally blown away by it.
Such pretty trees and a fabulous sentiment, Hilary! Love that background that makes me think of the sun shining through colorful leaves!
What a fabulous and contemporary image and your card looks so striking Hilary and I love the colour combination too x.
Hilary this is a lovely fall scene. The colors are perfect and you've designed a beautiful card.
