I hope everyone has enjoyed their Easter Break. I have failed in one of my intentions for the weekend. I had hoped to spend time in the garden as there is so much to do. Unfortunately the weather didn't play ball. When the weather was fine I was busy with something else, and when the weather was rainy I had time!
Today I have some more stitching and foiling to share. I received another stitching die for my birthday and have made two card with it. The first uses the negative foiling left from over from the Easter card I shared the other day and the second uses another foiled background using a cover plate.
This stitching die was very quick and easy to stitch and it makes the perfect focal point for a card. It is such a wonderful shape and isn't too big for my preferred A6 size. This time I used 3 strands of embroidery thread and it worked well.
The foil transferred almost perfectly, I was so pleased with it. I think it must be beginners luck, next time it is bound to all go wrong.
I didn't want to add much as it is already very busy so a simple diecut sentiment did the job.
I had to make my second card square because the foiling wasn't perfect all over, so I cut it down. This time I used black and white for contrast. It was nice to make a square card for a change.

These are real eye catchers with your stitching and that super foiling. xx
Oh my Hilary, these cards are SPECTACULAR. The foiling and the stitching are excellent together. WOW.
WOW!!! This stitching die is also more beautiful than the other you used times ago and the foiled "negative leftover" (I prefer this foiled part than the positive one! :D ) is a perfect background that matches really very well with your stitching!! Pinned!
Also the second card looks fabulous! Both them are gorgeous, very elegant and impressive!
Hugs
OMG..your crafty stitched images and foiled backgrounds on both your cards are Stunning and so clever, Hilary:-) Your embroidery stiched images are so beautiful and a wonderful
way to use your embroidery threads. Loved all your color choices for both your cards and the pretty shine from the foil. TFS both your beauties, my friend. Love and Hugs..Nancy
Two more fab foiled backgrounds. You are indeed lucky not to get any "heat" spots. The stitching is the perfect focal point for them, they both look so pretty.
Both foiled backgrounds look good Hilary and the stitched focal elements beautifully done.

OH! Hilary, these are so beautiful, your stitching with lovely colour mix is so very neat. Your foiling is gorgeous too. Marvellous cards. Sorry I've not been around, I hope to be more regular now.

Hilary, I almost never get a perfect negative foiling - just look at that gorgeous green! LOve the variegated green embroidery thread you've chosen. It looks perfect with this lovely green that changes colors when tipping this way and that!
There's something about a sweet little square card - yours is adorable and beautifully adorned with your dramatic black!

So pretty! Love those cards.
Gorgeous stitched elements and foiling Hilary, you look like you are having great fun with your new piece of kit.

So far, most of my negative foiling has landed in the trash can so I'm very impressed! Your cards turned out beautifully with the foiled background and stitched die cuts!
That green is so eye-catching, Hilary! You weaken my resolve to resist the foiling, especially when you got two beautiful backgrounds that work so brilliantly with your colorful stitching! These are definitely two keep-forever cards for the lucky recipients! Thank you for inspiring everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell (Hope you get lots of sun soon for your gardening!)
I can't stop being amazed!!! These cards are stunningly beautiful and I really love every detail. The background and of course the embroidered flower (that's what I want to call it!).
Wow! I'm a huge fan of stitched cards and yours are so beautiful and elegant, wonderful work! Thank you for joining the Craftlandia Challenge.
Hermosa tu tarjeta bordada, los troqueles utilizados son verdaderamente hermosos: nos quedamos a seguirte en el blog y te invitamos a seguirnos en el nuestro :) besos
You're doing some beautiful things with your stitching dies! The extra strand of floss gives quite a lot more color. These are both just amazing cards, Hilary. I'm especially fond of the square card with all that color on black. I'm glad you were able to save enough of your foiled piece to make it!
Gorgeous cards! These mandalas looks amazing with the stitching. Besitos...
Two gorgeous works of art Hilary, they are both so beautiful. Fantastic work.
